This body of work hovers between a physical map of Europe's borders and the emotional turmoil of the migrants current crossing of the borders. There is no way that I could relate to what these migrants are enduring but I want to explore what goes through their minds as they cross the physical terrain of Europe, inching closer to freedom and, hopefully peace, every day. What happens when they see a border fence? Is it terror because it's closed or relief because they're one step closer to a new, and hopefully better, life. What have they left behind? I can't even comprehend the emotions around that.
