I’m most interested in showing the process of making art. At first glance my work is seen as a whole, but if the viewer pauses and studies the work in detail, the entire process is slowly revealed. A single concept or idea is repeated but altered to show the endless variety of variation that goes on in an artist’s mind. By using knitting and sewing in my work, one can see the time and effort used to make each piece. Translucent layers subtly reveal how the elements of the work are assembled. The beauty lies in the visual intertwining of this process.
